Grandma Cella's is an old family recipe that was originally created by Marcella
Ruhoff. She was an exceptional cook and baker and loved to make things
for her family. She had many different recipes and one of her most well known
was for her chocolate sauce. This is a personal account of co-owners Mary
and Lori's experience with their Grandma Cella.

On the hot summer afternoons when we were little girls, our parents would take us to our Grandma Cella’s house. We remember cranking the ice cream maker while Grandma Cella was busy in the kitchen making up a batch of her homemade chocolate sauce. We would dish out bowls of homemade vanilla ice cream and pour the warm chocolate over the ice cream. We would then fight over who got to lick the mixing spoon.

What we didn't realize was that Grandma Cella always knew how to make the perfect chocolate sauce for ice cream, for dipping and for drizzling over cheese cake, which required exacting standards using very small batches cooked for just the right amount of time. It later took us many false tries to master what just came naturally to Grandma Cella.

Now after many requests from friends and family we have started to
produce the same small batches of Grandma Cella's Homemade
Chocolate for sale.
